HARVTECH LTD (“HarvTech”, “we”, “us”) is a UK-based technology and Azure platform engineering consultancy. Although we are a small organisation, we believe that operating responsibly — for the environment, for people, and through sound governance — is fundamental to the way we work and to the trust our clients place in us. This statement sets out our approach and our commitments.

1. Our approach

As a lean, digitally-native consultancy we have a naturally low environmental footprint. Rather than treat ESG as a reporting exercise, we focus on practical, proportionate actions that we can genuinely deliver as a business of our size, and we will scale our commitments as the company grows.

2. Environmental responsibility

We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations. In practice this means:

Operating as a remote-first, paperless business to avoid the emissions and waste associated with fixed office space and commuting.
Preferring cloud and hosting providers that publish renewable-energy and net-zero commitments.
Extending the life of IT hardware and disposing of redundant equipment responsibly through certified WEEE recycling channels.
Minimising business travel and defaulting to remote collaboration; choosing lower-carbon options where travel is unavoidable.
Building software and advising clients in ways that favour efficient, sustainable use of computing resources.

Emissions measurement

HarvTech has not yet formally baselined its Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse-gas emissions. Given our remote, equipment-light operating model our direct (Scope 1) and energy (Scope 2) emissions are minimal. We intend to introduce simple emissions tracking and, as the business grows, to set a reduction pathway aligned with the UK’s net-zero ambitions.

3. Social responsibility

People — our clients, our future colleagues, and the communities we work in — are central to our business. We are committed to:

Treating everyone we work with fairly, respectfully and without discrimination of any kind.
Upholding human rights and fair labour practices across our own operations and supply chain (see our Modern Slavery Statement and Supplier Code of Conduct).
Protecting client and personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and maintaining strong information-security practices.
Supporting continuous professional development and, as we grow, building an inclusive, flexible workplace from the outset.

4. Governance

We hold ourselves to high standards of integrity and legal compliance. This includes:

Complying with all applicable UK laws and regulations relevant to our business.
Maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption, consistent with the Bribery Act 2010.
Identifying and managing conflicts of interest transparently.
Maintaining appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Keeping clear, accurate records and meeting our obligations to Companies House and HMRC.

5. Disclosure standards

HarvTech is a small enterprise and falls below the size thresholds that bring companies into scope of formal sustainability disclosure frameworks such as the ISSB standards (IFRS S1/S2), the TCFD recommendations, the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). We therefore do not currently report against these standards. We monitor developments in sustainability reporting and aim to align with their underlying principles — transparency, accountability and proportionate due diligence — where it is practical for a business of our size to do so.

6. Review

This statement is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if there is a material change to our business, and is approved by the director of HARVTECH LTD.
